Hi Champs
How can I run a SE38 Program in background in SM37 as a background job.
suppose I have created a program with some logic in SE38 and don't want to use job_open and job_close FMs and want to set my program as a background job in SM37 for particular daya and time.
Please help.
Thanks in Advance.

Not sure why you don't want to use JOB* func. modules ?
In this case i think you've to manually schedule the job for the particular date & time in SM36

Hi,
You can schedule background job for se38 program through t code 'SM36', here you can set date and time.
Alternatively you can also schedule a background job through se38 also,
Excecute the program in SE38
Input selection criteria
Goto program menu -> choose execute in background.
Thanks,
Venkat

Create a Background Job in SM36, give all the conditions & program there & run.
Check the log in SM37.

If your program has a selection screen.
Go to Program Menu on Selection screen
Then select Execute in Background.
