Authorizations for View Cluster

Hello all,

I need to maintain authorization for View cluster.

Example : I have a view cluster say 'VC_TEST' , now I should have an authorization where other employees can only display it.

Steps which I have followed:

1. Assigned authorization object to the views of view cluster then created role for the object S_TABU_DIS and assigned all the activites (Create,Change,Display)

2. Assigned user to the role

But still other people can edit or maintain the view cluster.

So could you please guide me.

Hello Anil,

In the auth. obj. S_TABU_DIS there is a field DICBERCLS, this is the Authorization Group that you maintain the table maintenance generator(TMG) of a particular view.

In addition to the activity you need to maintain the auth. grp. for the obj. S_TABU_DIS while creating the role!

As I have mention , I have already added the Object S_TABU_DIS in the role.

But still facing the issue.

Hello Anil,

if you want that user A can modify the view and user B don't, you need two roles:

role A (user who modifies): object S_TABU_DIS with activity 01, 02, 03 and DICBER your autorization group.

role B (user who not modifies): object S_TABU_DIS with activity 03 and DICBER your autorization group.

then assign role A to user A and role B to user B.

I tried giving the activities and the authorization group (which is assigned to View ) then assigned users but its not working.

Still I am not able to get the solution for the View Cluster
