Earlier we have one plant and materials master has been created. Then we created three more plants and I hv extended the entire materials master to other three plants. now we have created anthor two plants and I have extended the maters master to them also.
Now the problem is that if i create a material for plant A then i have to extend it to all plants as and when required.
My question is can we give authorization for only extending the materials to end users of respective plants. and i will create the only new materials.

Hi Atul,
You can restrict end user authorization for maintaining plant specific material master data by creating the required profiles/ roles on the authority object M_MATE_WRK.
Please consult with your BASIS team on how to create a role on this object for required plants and assign them to the end users (transaction PFCG).
You can view documentation on this authority object from transaction SE80 - Other Objects - enter this authority object and view the Documentation.
Cheers,
Aditya
