what does ' ' means when assigning authorization group?

when i leave the field empty it shows missing values

can ignore the authorization group value ?

Hi Elizabeth - our value for that is '36', extended maintenance.

I have no idea how your system as ' '. There's no way I can input that myself, even in our sandbox. Is there a reason for the blank?

It means no value. If you have a material not assigned to a plant, or some other item that is not assigned a value yet like business area, storage location, the list goes on - the authorization check will sometimes fail if you don't have a "empty" value. It is a pain in the neck, and only shows up occasionally. I only add it when necessary. I use single quote blank single quote ' ' as the value.
