ATC/Extended Program Check: "Program uses global fields"

Hi,

In ATC/Extended Program Check I got messages about "Program uses global fields".

For me it's not 100% clear, what is wrong with this.

Especially that it's a small program with couple of variables and couple of lines.

I don't see a reason to break it down to smaller pieces and include them into methods.

Unfortunately there is no long text for this message from ATC ("Extended Program Check for ABAP Programs (SLIN)

The extended program check performs static checks that are too laborious for the normal syntax check....." )

Release is SAP_BASIS 7.02 with SP 15.

Any official guidelines about this?
