Hi,
If you have to do any modification in Screen table you will do it in At selection-screen output.
please see the code below.
AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.
*disable the date range selection screen option
IF rb_today EQ 'X' OR
rb_cntm EQ 'X' OR
rb_cntyr EQ 'X' OR
rb_past EQ 'X' OR
rb_all EQ 'X' OR
rb_fut EQ 'X'.
LOOP AT SCREEN.
IF screen-name EQ 'S_D_RAN-LOW' .
AND if SCREEN-NAME eq 'S_D_RAN-HIGH'.
screen-input = '0'.
MODIFY SCREEN.
EXIT.
ENDIF.
ENDLOOP.
LOOP AT SCREEN.
IF screen-name EQ 'S_D_RAN-HIGH'.
screen-input = '0'.
screen-required = '0'.
MODIFY SCREEN.
CLEAR screen.
EXIT.
ENDIF.
ENDLOOP.
ENDIF.

At selection-screen output is used to change the properties of selection screen fields...
Loop at screen - where screen is a default structure maintained by SAP...which contains many fields like the below field...each serves a purpose using which we can change the properties of selection screen fields.....
NAME
GROUP1
GROUP2
GROUP3
GROUP4
REQUIRED
INPUT
OUTPUT
INTENSIFIED
INVISIBLE
LENGTH
ACTIVE
DISPLAY_3D
VALUE_HELP
REQUEST
VALUES_IN_COMBO
COLOR
use the previoys people threads for reference pgm.....

Hi,
Generally, if we wnat to modify the selection-screen layout, then we use AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT statement.
e.g. if u have 4 fields on your selection screen and I want to make 1 field of them as non-editable with a default value of '10'.
then I will write the code as :
AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.
LOOP AT SCREEN.
IF SCREEN-NAME = 'FIELD1'.
SCREEN-INPUT = 0.
SCREEN-OUTPUT = 1.
MODIFY SCREEN.
ENDIF.
ENDLOOP.
Not only this u can hide a field, make a field mandatory and do many more things with the fields on the selection-screen using the AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT event. This event actually is a PBO event for Selection screen.

Hi,
Parameters assigned to a modification group can be processed as an entire group with the LOOP AT SCREEN and MODIFY SCREEN statements during the AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT event.
Ex.
REPORT DEMO.
PARAMETERS: TEST1(10) MODIF ID SC1,
TEST2(10) MODIF ID SC2,
TEST3(10) MODIF ID SC1,
TEST4(10) MODIF ID SC2.
AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.
LOOP AT SCREEN.
IF SCREEN-GROUP1 = 'SC1'.
SCREEN-INTENSIFIED = '1'.
MODIFY SCREEN.
CONTINUE.
ENDIF.
IF SCREEN-GROUP1 = 'SC2'.
SCREEN-INTENSIFIED = '0'.
MODIFY SCREEN.
ENDIF.
ENDLOOP.

Bhaskar
