Hi
Area Menu is a menu you can see in the left side of SAP.
From rel. 4.6A the menu are based on the tree configuration.
SE43N is the transaction to manage, change and create new manu area.
A menu area can have some trxs and also other menu.
The main menu is S000.
When it needs to change a std menu it can use the enhancement, so every modification linked to an enhancement won't be lost during release upgrade.

hello Raman,
Area menu is screen with all ur frequently configured transaction. For ex :CC00 as mentioned is Engineering Change Management which are set of transactions frequently used for this module. And same is the case for BALD which area menu for ALE and useful for developer. So he just needs to use this transaction which leads to a menu of transaction.Area menu can be used inorder to make the sap screen user-friendly with all necessary frequently used transactions. So that you dont have to remember the transaction while on SAP.Hope its clear,.
