Applying Service Pack stack

Hi

I am working on SP Upgrade and stack are being applied i want to know if some changes has been made in SAP Standard object, the patches will be applied to these objects or not. As i have consulted some Abapers.

1. some are telling that it will not touch once you have changed the Standard object.

2. some consultants are telling that it will apply the patches with the existing changes.

3. Some Abapers are telling that it will apply the patches but whatever changes we have done in Standard that will go off and only new patches will be there.

Thanks and please try to clear the picture.

After an upgrade you should be able to see the changes in transaction SPAU. The transaction lists the new version of the program, and the old version modified by you. You can then compare the two versions and decide which one to keep (in case the standard has incorporated your changes, or has new functionality, you wont need your version again).

Transaction SPDD will give you a list of the change dictionary objects.

A search on the forum with the transaction codes should give you further information on them.

Hope this helps.
