append structure activation

hi all,

we have got some problems while dealing with append structure.

actually ,we tried to add some fields to the append structure of mara table ,

then when activating it showed activation logs.so the table mara and the append structure to it is partly active.

so is ther any way i can undo the changes so that the mara table and append structure gets activated becaise while undoing the changes ,it is also not allowing us to activate.

kindly suggest any way out.

hi

once u add the fields in the structure & then when u append that in the database table ., then u have to adjust the database for the table.

gotto se11... give ur table name ..diaplay..then utilities..click on database uitility, then at the bottom of the screen there is a push button "activate & adjust database"..

clcik on tht button... table will adjusted for mass activation..

i have tried doing so.

but still table is not activating....is there any other way out.

Hi Kunal,

When you append a structure or like add any number of fields your table will not activated because database will not be adjusted. So If your situation is this.

Try this..

Go to utilities -> Database utilty and click on Activate and adjust database. So automatically your table will get activated from partly acitve stage.

or Remove the data from the table and add new fields to standard table.

HI Kunal,

First of all you activate your z append structure, and then try activating the main table. if still it doesnt get active, then goto Utilities -> data base utility. There click on the pushbutton "Activate and adjust database". This should solve your purpose.
