Hi
Demand Planning (DP)
The Demand Planning component is a toolkit of statistical and collaborative forecasting techniques that helps you create accurate forecasts and plans
The result of APO Demand Planning is the demand plan.
Supply Network Planning (SNP)
Is used to calculate quantities to be delivered to a location in order to match customer demand and maintain the desired service level .
APO Supply Network Planning integrates purchasing, manufacturing, distribution, and transportation so that comprehensive tactical planning and sourcing decisions can be simulated and implemented on the basis of a single, global consistent model .
Supply Network Planning determines a permissible short- to medium-term plan for fulfilling the estimated sales volumes. This plan covers both the quantities that must be transported between two locations (for example, distribution center to customer or production plant to distribution center), and the quantities to be produced and procured. When making a recommendation, Supply Network Planning compares all logistical activities to the available capacity.
Production Planning / Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS)
We use Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS)
To create procurement proposals for in-house production or external procurement to cover product requirements
To optimize and plan, in detail, the resource schedule and the order dates
With PP/DS you can create executable production plans and
Reduce lead times
Increase on-time delivery performance
Increase the throughput of products and reduce the stock costs, through better coordination of resources, production and procurement

Transportation Planning / Vehicle Scheduling (TP/VS)
This component helps you to select the optimum transportation route and schedules vehicle resources.
Transportation Planning enables the transportation planner to make optimum use of the available capacity of freight vehicles, trains, ships, and airplanes. In this way, loading capacities can be planned more efficiently and costs are lowered, especially since most customers depend completely on external transportation companies for optimum transportation. In short, Transportation Planning results in deliveries that are on time and at minimum cost.
The TP/VS component contains the following functions:
Transportation planning and transportation consolidation
Vehicle scheduling and route determination in a dynamic environment
Transportation mode and selection of transportation service provider
Multi-pick and multi-drop functions
