I am working on an enhancement project in ALV grid where in production, we are able to add a new price record for a future effective date that will automatically expired the existing price record by using the 'NEW' column its field name is ACTION by placing 'X'.

In Development The "New" column cannot be updated to place an 'X' in the field. It appears as a check box only. I have checked the internal table, where the field ACTION is declared as check box and no_out=x is this any relevant? Please help me determine how to add a future condition record that will automatically expire the existing price record and use this column 'NEW'.
