REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY can be executed in background but not REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY,

in SE38 , in menu Program-->Execute in background

Yes they can be executed in background with REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY FM

Its not possible.

in your program you have to check

if sy-batch = 'X'.

• Background

call function 'REUSELISTDISPLAY'

else.

call function 'REUSEGRIDDISPLAY'

endif.
