ALV List -Save Layout

Hello Experts,

  I am Executing a Report from my custom program and it shows the ALV display.But when i change layout and hit Save Layout button it doesnt open any popup and it just stays.I have passed variant Details(Including Report name & Layout name) and i_save = 'U' to FM 'REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY' from my Z Program.Any Ideas.Your help is highly appreciated.

Hi Raymond,

  I am now hiding two fields in the output.So i changed the catalogue and Layout from Z-Program and then executing it.

hi, try using of i_save = 'X'.

- Check, again, if you give a correct name to variant parameter ("disvariant" structure) AND user name

- Execute SU53 for failed authority check

- Execute The Consistency Check (if required change REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY with REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY for the duration of the test)

Hi Raymond,

1.Disvariant work area holds Report name(FAGL_ACCOUNT_ITEMS_GL) and variant 'SAP1' and Username too.

2.Authorization check is successfull in SU53.

3.I did Consistency check with ALV_GRID which saves layout but the same with List is unsaved.

Please give your inputs.

Why don't you call FM FAGL_ITEMS_DISPLAY and not REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY, also I hope you use structure FAGLPOSX to be consistent with current variants of this standard report ?

I_save = 'A'. will be better option.
