I have a program with 2 ALV reports (OO). The list of layout variant is common to the 2 ALV because there are in the same program. When I save a layout with default for ALV1, it is also used for ALV2 that has completely different fields.
Is there a way to have 2 lists of layout variants when 2 ALVs?

Hello Marise,
I guess you have a splitter control to have 2 ALV at the same time. In case you have 2 different ALV, you should control the layout with different variables, and control which one to create.
Hope this helps

The ALV are in 2 different screens of the same program.
I can control in the program the values in the variants but what I want is to use the ALV feature to manage layout. The user could create a User-specific layout settings but if he put default, this layout will be the default for both screens.
Which variables you are talking about?

Hello Marise,
I had the same problem and I could solve it by changing the report value for the variant in Method set_table_for_first_display.
For example, CONCATENATE sy-repid '2' INTO lw_variant-report.
Then you can save different layouts for different ALVs inside the same program.
