ALV Grid display

hi,

Experts I have developed an ALV Report, whose field catelog decleration is as below.

v_index = v_index + 1.

wafieldcatlog1-fieldname = 'BDTER'.

wafieldcatlog1-tabname = 'it_final'.

wafieldcatlog1-seltext_l = 'ReqmtsDate'.

wafieldcatlog1-hotspot = ' '.

wafieldcatlog1-col_pos = v_index.

APPEND wafieldcatlog1 TO it_fieldcatalog1.

CLEAR wafieldcatlog1-key.

The out put display is crumbled, ie the coloms are not displayed completely . We have to drag the colomn linr to view it.

Client wants the colomn to be displayed completely.

give wafieldcatlog1-outputlen = number of charecters in the heading.

you may populate parameter IS_LAYOUT-colwidth_optimize = 'X'.

N = ur output length

Hello posimsetty,

there is a field in fieldcatalog called OPTIMIZE.

Add

<b>wafieldcatlog1-optimize = 'X'.</b>

before append statement.

Use wa_field1-col_opt = 'X'.

Add these two lines - to ur field catalog -

wafieldcatlog1-ref_fieldname = 'BDTER'.

wafieldcatlog1-ref_tabname = 'RESB'.

This will take care of everything else. You dont even need to hard code the Column texts also.
