Alternatives for SAP unreleased function modules.

Is there any way to find the alternatives for SAP unreleased FMs? for example there is a function module "MC_GSTRU_PRUEFEN", which is not yet released by SAP. So is there any other released fm with the same functionality?

Hi,

I don't think there is an easy way to find such alternatives. I usually try to search in the where used list whether the FM I "need" is wrapped in another FM or class that I can use.

Raise an OSS message to report this issue. SAP AGS might help you by providing Transport fix/SAP note.

Rather than create a call for SAP as Sandy suggested, first search for a note. There may already be one. This is normal practice for issues involving standard SAP objects. You do have access to do that, don't you?

But the only way I know is, to open a specific note which I already know it's number.

Go to support.sap.com - the interface is quite intuitive. You need an appropriately authorised S account.
