Hi Kumar,

create RFC destination for both the clients using SM 59 tcode.

in SM59:

Give RFC destination: Logical System Name for the receipent

Connection Type : 3

Host Name: IP address of your sap logon system

Logon data: user id & Password for the receipent system.

Here CRM sandbox is reciepent for ECC sandbox and ECC sandbox is recepient for CRM sandbox.

please find the Logical system names for both using BD54.

After creating RFC destinations, Click on Remote Loogon TAB, for testing Connection between these two clients.

Thanks & Regards,

Nagarjuna.

Hi Kumar,

Connections across SAP servers are set up by configuring RFC connections or type R/3 connection in transaction SM59.

Then the RFC connection is assigned to ports which are attached to partner profiles for ALE communication.

Hence if you want to "test" the connection between the servers, goto transaction SM59, identify the RFC connection and you can "Test Connection" from either server for the other.

The "Test Connection" serves as a "ping" to confirm connection.

Cheers,

Aditya

hi,

Rfc connection is only to communicate between servers.

if u want to check ALE connection goto BD64 and see the distribution model between 2 servers.if the distribution model is not created then eventhough u have rfc connection u cannot send data through ale.
