ALE - support end 2008 ?

Hi,

I have heard that the servicing (support) from SAP of interface ALE will be end in 2008. Is that correct?

Will ALE be detached from XI?

Does anybody know some information about using ALE in the future?

Hi Michael,

I have no information about that but I suppose that the strategy of SAP will be to use proxy instead of IDocs but this I think will happen for new developed objects, for sure ALE will still live in parallel.

For example maybe you have noticed that in new releases (WAS 640) you have an integration engine and for example the transaction SXMB_MONI that is tipical of XI (it corresponds to WE05 for Idocs).
