There is no restriction of number in distributing the data from central system to other. IDOC needs to be created according to the data you want to transfer. we will call it as creating the segments according the data that has to be transferred through IDOC.

Check BD10 txcode for sending material.

Until and unless your IDOC can understand the syntax and semantics of the other system you can use your idoc.

Hi,

IDOC's are intermediate document which is like carrier to take the message from source system to destination system inside the idoc yu have to define the segments that is the fields that you need to transfer and execute your idoc program it will generate some idoc number and check the status in we02 provide the idoc number and check the status.

Hi,

Yes for Material Transfer their would be a need to create a new IDoc. IDoc stand for Intermediate Documents which transfer data from one system to another, in the case of master data like material any changes being done on the material need to transmitted to the other systems with which it is interacting and these changes need to be made available in the receiving systems for which we use IDoc.
