can any body tell me what is the diff between basic idoc type and extended idoc type and step by step procedure..

hi,
Basic idoc type is SAP provided standard , extended idoc type is modified basic type according to user requirements.
Basic type : ORDERS05 and Extended starts with ZORDERS05.

idoc can be created an instance of idoc type,
with extended idoc we can add fields to the pre-defined idoc's.
