ALE/IDOC Mapping

Hello all,

Can anyone tell me where I need to mention the name of the FM MASTERIDOC_CREATE_SMD_DEBMAS in the ALE Configuration to trigger the change pointers?

Do I need to mention it in the OUTBOUND PARAMETERS of the PARTENER PROFILES or just activate it in the trnx BD60.

I appreciate your help.

Hi Joslyn,

If you want to schedule a job for BD21 then you need to create new variant. You need to schedule frequently in order to pick latest changes on customer master. Let say every 5-10 minutes to run.

If you want to execute online, then you just need to specify message type on the selection screen.

You have to use the Message type in the outbound parameters in the partner profiles.

Message types are linked to function modules, normally you don't have to change this assignment.

no need to mention the function module to triger the change pointer for particular message type .

but either inbound or outbound we need to configure the

process code to triger the function module

You need to setup change pointer for DEBMAS message type.

then you need to setup ALE distribution model (BD64) for sender and receiver systems, partner profile (WE20) and file ports (WE21).

At last, you can execute program <b>RBDMIDOC</b> (BD21) to generate DEBMAS IDocs.

Hi Joslyn,

Following steps are required for change pointer ( Outbound )

1.Create new message type via WE81

2.Link the IDOC type to the message type via WE82

3.Make sure that the change pointer is globally activated via BD61

4.Activate change pointer for your message type via BD50

5.Link the message type to the function module via BD60

6.Add the message to the ALE distribution model via BD64

7.Create the partner via BD64 / WE20

Since you are using standard message type and FM,you can directly go to point no. 6.

Use program RBDMIDOC to create IDOC. Mesage type is parameter for the above program.

You can schedule the program RBDMIDOC to be executed at regular intervals of time, probably 3-4 times a day, depending on your business scenario.

Use transaction SM35 to schedule the program.

Hi,

I am little bit confused.

I have executed the change Pointers for the message type DEBMAS from trnx bd21.

When I saved it is asking for the variant name.

I didn't created any variant for it.

Do I need to create a variant for it or just exit out of it?

If not then how the programme is saved for the message type to trigger the programme everytime changes in the customer master transactions?

SO please help me out with this.

Hi Joslyn,

You can schedule a job to run frequently via SM35 for program RBDMIDOC. It depends on the business requirement.

Also could you do me a favor to re-save my reward points?
