ALE error in BD64

hi,

IAm getting error message 'sender & reciever should be different' in BD64 when i create MODEL VIEW.

There is one logical system erp800 which is assigned to client 800.

I have created RFC connection in which the destination & target system are same i.e erp800.

What i need to know is what should be given in sender & reciever parameters.

You should have two systems for doing an ale scenario.

As the messages says, you cannot have the same system as sender and receiver.

Create another logical system in SALE for another system or atkeast the client should be different.

Hi,

Your sender and reciver are same client,

In model view sender and reciver should be different.

If you have two clients then give one as sender and other as reciver.

Or give on R/3 system as sender and other as reciver.

Like DEV as sender and QAP as reciver.

for sending & receiveing we need two logical system

for particular client(800) . then only u able to send and

receive a idocs

in transaction SALE create another logical system name.and assign this name into another client (say 200)in the same transaction.

now sender is: LS1clnt800

reciever: LS2clnt200.

after that try to make the model view.

thanx a lot but how can two logical systems can be assigned to one client(800) ?Also iam getting the message in bd84 that ' no messages have been defined for the selection condition ' iam giving 'MATMAS' as message type.

befor going to BD64, Two MORE STEPS ARE THERE

IN sale TCODE

in the following path

APPLICATION LINK ENABLING->SENDING AND RECEIVING SYSTEMS->LOGICAL SYSTEMS->

1.define logical system: give a name to both sending and receiving systems here

2. assign logical system to client: assign sending system name given above to one client (ex:800), and receiving system name to the other receiving client (ex:400).

NOW go to BD64 and give those names there

1>Having two different clients

2>Having two different systems

you cannot have the same system as sender and receiver.

so do accordingly.

What about the RFC connection I have given destination & target system same i.e ERP800?

Hi annie,

For ale as i already mentioned the scenario..

Use two differnt clients...or two differnt systems.

For example i have two clients in development say 300,310

I can send the idoc from 300 to 310 it's possible..

I guess u got my point
