ALE Distribution model view

Former Member

Hello

I am setting up an ALE scenario to send idocs from system A to system B. I have a problem with the distribution model view. The model has been distributed to the receiving system with the wrong basic idoc type entered in the partner profile. I would like to know how I can change the model view and re-distribute it.

Thanks,

A.P.

Hi A.P,

If you want to delete incorrect message type in existing distribution model then you don't need to create and assign new logical systems.

But if the sender and receiver systems never used in the distribution model then you need to create new logical systems and assign them. Otherwise you can use the existing logical systems for new/different distribution model.

Hope this will answer your quick question.

Hi A.P,

You just need to delete the message type and save in ditribution model (BD64). Then you can add the correct message type and redistribute.

For parter profile, you can delete manually the incorrect message type via transaction WE20 and save.

Also you can add manually the new message type as well without thru generate the partner profile in distribution model.

Hope this will help.

Hello Ferry,

I need to edit an existing distribution model view. The sending system logical name is supposed to be DEV_002 but I have DEV002. I don't see an option in BD64 to change this. Any pointers on this?

Thanks,

A.P.

I don't think you will have the option of the names of the sending and recieving systems. The only option is to create a new model and distribute that.

Hai

Go through the following Procedure

ALE IDOC

Sending System(Outbound ALE Process)

Tcode SALE ? for

a) Define Logical System

b) Assign Client to Logical System

Tcode SM59-RFC Destination

Tcode BD64 ? Create Model View

Tcode BD82 ? Generate partner Profiles & Create Ports

Tcode BD64 ? Distribute the Model view

Message Type MATMAS

Tcode BD10 ? Send Material Data

Tcode WE05 ? Idoc List for watching any Errors

Receiving System(Inbound ALE )

Tcode SALE ? for

a) Define Logical System

b) Assign Client to Logical System

Tcode SM59-RFC Destination

Tcode BD64 ? Check for Model view whether it has distributed or not

Tcode BD82 -- Generate partner Profiles & Create Ports

Tcode BD11 Getting Material Data

Tcode WE05 ? Idoc List for inbound status codes

ALE IDOC Steps

65 Error --> Error in ALE Service Layer

for 51 or 56 Errors do the following steps

goto WE19 > give the IDOC Number and Execute>

Press on Inbound function Module

for 65 Error --> goto SE38 --> Execute the Program RBDAPP01 then your getting 51 Error

You can create new distribution model with logical system A and B with correct message type. You can re-distribute the model to B system by EDIT->model view->distribute
