AL11 - File Not Useable

When I upload the file using cg3z, the file is fine. It is useable.

But we want to automate it. So, I did a recording (LSMW) of cg3z to upload the file. The file is uploaded, but this time it is not useable. (i.e. The first column in AL11 is not marked 'X').

Can someone please explain to me why?

If the file size is 0 bytes the first field Usable will not get set.

If I run the batch input on foreground, the file is fine. But if I run it on background, yes, the file size is 0 -- and not useable.

Anyone?

btw in backgroung you can't download data to frontend.

Any communication with the front end in background is not possible.

There is along work around, but just see if its worth the time.
