Adobe Design Guide Book.

Hi Again All,

I am hoping to find a guide which is as useful, for the new adobe design tool (trans sfp) in ecc 5.0, as the old "SAPscript Made Easy" guide.

I have checked the SAP help web site, so please don't just refer me back to this site, unless you can point me at a tutorial for development.

My current project requires

1) The development of Labels to be printed on a Zebra Printer. The label format is 3 of 9, with appropriate bar codes.

2) The development of a combined Remittance and Check similar to the example on page B-10 of the "SAPscript made Easy" guide.

3) ...

The two mentioned are my biggest headaches at the moment.

All useful help and guidence will be rewarded.

Hi David,

at this point in time, there is no book comparable to "SAPscript made easy" or the SAP Press book on Smart Forms. We are currently discussing within SAP how the lessons learned from ERP print form development can be turned into a publication similar to the ones mentioned above. I don't expect any such comprehensive book before the end of this year, but will try to publish some of the lessons here in SDN in blogs or documents.

As for designing Zebra labels, you will need to depend on support by other SAP customers working with Zebra printers, because SAP does not ship any forms using Zebra printers.

Having said that, support for Zebra label printers is provided out of the box in both Adobe LiveCycle Designer and SAP Spool (device types AZPL203 and AZPL300). For more information on printing PDF-based forms, see also SAP Note 685571.

Hello Markus

Could you please clarify -- can SAPScript forms be converted to Adobe form?

I see there is an Adobe form MEDRUCK_PO for purchase order -- we have

a customized SAPscript form for purchase orders and wanted to convert(migrate)

to Adobe form. Is this possible? Or is migrate(conversion) only allowed from a SMARTFORm to Adobe?
