Address BAPI Error

Hi,

I am using BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_ADD to update address for Business partners.I get "no authorization for change in partner role" error when I run the job. However when I place a breakpoint at the call for bapi or at the error message condition(within the BAPI) the business partners which failed in the batch job get updated randomly.I am not able to determine what is causing the problem. Didnt find any notes either.

Any insight would be appreciated

hi patil,

i doubt you may not have authorization for updating the business partners.plz check with your BASIS regarding the authorization issue..

Hi Abdul,

I am able to upload 30,000 partners out of 34000 which should be uploaded.So not sure abt authorization issue

Whether the remaining 4000 partners are of same type as the one which you have posted before?

Hi,

Yes they are of the same type. If I place a breakpoint at the CALL for Bapi, majority of the partners get updated, however if I dont put a breakpoint majority of them fail with the authorization error.

ok fine..jus inform your functional consultant regarding this issue and ask them post one of such failed record and see what happens...

Hi Abdul,

Well some addresses were updated when the functional consultant posted it.

Not sure whether the timing after commit has a bearing in this case.

Any suggestions.
