Adding pushbutton to standard SAP transaction.

Hi,

I have been asked if I can add a button to a SAP standard transaction toolbar. The function behind this button will be an existing function code available on the menu option, however the users would like a button as a short cut. Therefore the functionality behind the pushbutton is SAP standard code. This will be on the variant configuration screen saplceio objd0103. We are on version 4.7.

Technically I would be making a modification by adding the button, however is there any exit type functionality which would permit me to make this amendment "legally".

Any advice appreciated.

Regards

Stephen

You might be able to do a screen variant, not sure though. Transaction SHD0. That may be for removing buttons only. I know for a fact that you can do this using GuiXT. We have added a couple buttons to the VA01 transaction without modifying the standard. Have you looked into GuiXT?
