Adding Documentation

I'm trying to add documentation to an ABAP program. I login using language DE then go into SE80 click on change mode then "Goto" then "Documentation" and I receive the following error message: Bitte das Dokument in der Sprache Englisch pflegen.

Note: The documentation already exist in English and I'm trying to add the documentation in German.

Any insight,

Bill

Its saying.....

Maintain please the document in the language English

Can you only maintain the program documentation in its original language?

Have you tried.... Go To - > Translation?

I don't think that the "translation" will help you. It looks to me that you can only have the documentation in the original language of the program.

I say this because if I log on in "DE" and create a program, I can then add the documentation in "DE".

But I think of you logon in English and go to translation, you can create documentation in German. (Or then again, maybe that's what you were saying.)

Yes, that's what I was saying, but when I checked into in my system, nothing really jumped out at me about documenation translation.

I was able to translate by going to SE38, entering the program name, pressing the documentation radio button and then Goto->Translation. It lets you translate line by line. There's no proposal pool, so you have to do it yourself.

That's what I like about this forum. You learn a ton more by answering questions than by asking them.
