Activation error BKPF

Hi,

We have a problem activating BKPF while we are upgrading our SAP system from 46C to ECC6. We are adjusting dictionary objects in transaction SPDD and we cannot activate BKPF. The problem seems to be that it is impossible to adapt the database after a change in a data element. We have tried to use transaction se14 but the options are not available.

Can anybody help??

Thanks,

First of all, you must check latest SAP notes about SPDD corrections. If "the options are not available", it means that BKPF table doesn't exist in database (is the text "Exists in the database" shown in SE14)? (note: it is not lost, but copied to QCM8* temporary table) Maybe it's because you have to restart the adjustment, there should be a menu to restart it. Be careful, you could lose table contents very easily, so copy it at Oracle level before any operation. Another question to ask, what happened, was a field shortened, or what?
