Activating an Append Structure in Background

Geeks,

i need to activate the strucutre in background , How to do that ? . I need to do in the background because timeout in my box is 10 mins.

• to schedule in background we normallly use the below menu

utilites - > database object - > database object but this menu is seen only for table's and not for structure.

Hi Karthick,

Try activating your append structure in SE14(background) instead of se11/se12 and then activate the corresponding table in background mode.

In SE14 mention your table name in the Obj.name selection and then select the Tables option under Database objects and click Edit.

Then select BACKGROUND option as processing type and then activate it.

You can see the fields of your append structure in the Table fields.

And you said that timeout is 10 mins.ask your Basis group to increase the time out for sessions.
