In one of the transactions. we have 2 fields..
after entering one value in one field (lets say A), we press f4 on second field..
then a BADI is getting triggered.
we need to be able to access this screefield A inside BADI..
I tried accessing with screen field..but it says its not declared ..but I can see the value in debugging.

Hi,
You have to use field symbols to do that. By refering that screen name and number.

I tried with field symbols
here is the code I have written..
CONSTANTS: lc_ref(47) TYPE c VALUE 'GS_DYNP_1000_VARIABLES-PARTNER_1-PARTNER_NUMBER'.
FIELD-SYMBOLS : <lf_partner> TYPE c(16).
ASSIGN (l_ref) TO <lf_partner>.
var_str = <lf_partner>.[Program Name SAPLCOM_PARTNER_UI2
Screen number 1001
now what is the string I have to use for lc_ref ?
