While creating idocs is it necessary to create at least one mandatory segment, can u please confirm ASAP.

HI,
Yes u should have atleast one mandatory segment.Otherwise the idoc will appear blank...

I created a segment with out mention the mandatory segment and i use onli min. number is 1 and max. number is 1. what is the actual use of minimum number and maximum number.

I dont know whats the clarification you are actually in need of ?
See IDOC is a container with control , data , and status records.
Each of the three is populated by segments .
You cannot expect a scenario without a segment for the EDIDD EDIDC and status records.
So you need to create segments for the three to hold the data .

hi,
Minimum occurence means it will come only once ,also maximum occurence means it will come only once..
for example..if u have header data then the minimum and maximumoccurences are one..
but if u have item data then
MAX OCCURENCE-1.
MIN OCCURENCE-9999..(likethis)
it means it can appear upto 9999 times also...
In ur case i think ur segment will appear only once,thats why u have specifeid like that..I hope u gort ur answer..

can u check the std. idoc (MATMAS_BAPI01). I am using this idoc using LSMW i got error like too many reprtitions of segment. if u give ur mail id i can forward the attachment.
