Hi Experts,

I have one doubt . What is the ABAP New version and what r the all versions that are available in the market.

Hi Rajesh,

The oldest/first version is 3.1H and the latest version is 7.0.

Many organizations who are having older versions are recently going for UPGRADE.

The number of upgrade projects are increasing day by day.

The Netweaver ABAP stack has a few versions, the newest is 7.0.

Some of the branding has changed over the years, but here are the version numbers.

The latest version is 7.0

Older versions are 3.0 O, 3.1 H , 4.0 OB , 4.6

SAP after 4.6 version there are various other versions like 4.7 enterprise version, mySAP ECC 5.0, ECC 6.0, ECC 7.0

Just to clarify WAS ABAP stack and R/3 -ERP are different products and have different releases.

Until 46C it was not the case as R/3 was the main SAP product and the R/3 Application release was the same as the underlying BC/ABAP release.
