The SAP Help file may not have been fully installed in your server.

The SAP Application Help, Library and Glossary are to be installed in your server to access them all.

Please Check with your basis team who are responsible for installing these in your server.

Check transaction ABAPDOCU. This shouldn't be dependent on which version of SAPGUI you have (assuming your sap rel is 4.6 or greater).

Also look in table tstct for transaction abapdocu.

If it doesn't exist then you need to re-install it. Should be part of standard SAP however.

VISTA is irelevant in this regard - however you might need to access the SAP help files via a browser and a manual link as the automatic link doesn't work properly under VISTA unless SAPGUI 7.0 is installed -- as the previous poster has said.

For the SAP library you can always use a manual link to the sap help data files but of course it won't work via F1.

Cheers

Hi,

I also have this problem. We have two sap servers here, MCC and MQA. If I log into MCC, open SE80, mark a word (for example WRITE) and press F1, I get the pop up with title "ABAP key word documentation". I doubleclick on WRITE and another pop up (session) appears. Everything works wonderful.

Now I repeat this on server MQA. I mark a word (also WRITE, FYI: it doesn´t work on IF or ELSE), press F1 and a pop up appears (title is also "ABAP key word documentation"). I doubeclick WRITE and the pop up closes and nothing happens.

Please help me. I absolutely don´t know how to solve this problem.

Best regards, Dominik

Hi Rajesh,

If your web browser is IE7 & above, you should download the patch 'SAPGUI640_Patch.exe' (70 MB file) from sdn.sap. After downloading, run the .exe file and you will get the F1 help documentation displayed on your screen.
