Hi,
I am working on ABAP Language and now it want to switch over to Java also ,i want to know what would be the key concepts should i have the knowledge so that both of the compatibility should be maintained...

Hi Nav,
I think Object orientation will be the key concept.Not exactly same but still can be seen as compatible.

Hi,
Thanks for your response. It means i make up a good knowledge about the concepts of Java such as Multi threading,Interfaces,Servlets and Applets.... Should i start following up the book Java Complete Reference 2 Book
to make good knowledge about the concepts....?
Please provide some knowledge about it..........

Head First Java from the O'Reilly press is the best "teach yourself Java" book. In fact, when people want to learn ABAP Objects, I generally refer them to this book to learn Java first. It's much easier to learn OO techniques with Java, but once learned they can be applied to ABAP Objects.

Thanks for really wonderful advice,yeah i also feel that to have good skill in ABAP Objects one should have knowledge about the JAVA Concepts... I will definately look for this book to have more vast knowledge about JAVA.......
Currently i am following the book named :-
Foundation of java for abap programmers by Alistar Rooney...., it is a book which is giving all the basic knowledge about java in a simlpe language.....
Currently, i am able to know that might be relaionship between the JSP and BSP Server pages and the servlets also...
Please rectify me if i am wrong ....
