4.7 ecc6.0 upgrade..ABAP estimation

hello expertss,

we want to upgrade from 4.7 to ecc6.0..

i need to give some estimates for ecc6.0 Technical Upgrade

i wanted to know the following points which would are the deciding factors..

1. I need to calssify z objects as most recently used and not used at all..Is there any std transaction/ table which would update this history of a system which is 2 yrs old...

2. I need to know what exactly are the differences in 4.7 and ecc 6.0..i have information about general differences and advantages but i need to know few examples..like the table.fields/function modules etc present in 4.7 but not in ecc6.0..

3. Also, some other points which I need to consider while prepaing estimates..

Hi Darshan,

You can get the Most Recently Used and Not Used at all Z programs from the table smodilog. You cannot exactly say what tables or FMs that are present in ECC and absent in 4.7. There are certain tools which do the estimates i hope they are not done manually.

You can Follow the below steps

1) In Production System : Start Transaction ST03N and go to Expert Mode.

2)In Expert Mode : Expand Total

3)Double Click on This Month

4)Expand Transaction Profile

5)Double click on Standard and , Sort Transaction Name column in Descending Order

This will provide u all the Z programs used in the last month.

Hi Amrita,

This seems to be the solution I require as I am preparing upgrade from 4.6C to ECC 6.0 and being requesting to estimate ABAPs that are used or not.

Unfortunately, I can see in ST03n that retention period set in our system was 3 months as ST03N only displayed workload data from 2 previous months and current one.

Could you please remind me where to modify retention period of these data? Is this possible to retrieve data older than 90 days after retention period modifed?
