Hi,
Please do some research regarding the whole spectrum of SAP barcode printing options in SAP OSS first. Unfortunately, there is no support for Aztec under so called "new barcode technology", which IMO is the easiest option to implement. There is support for PDF417, QR code and Datamatrix though.

Hello,
The QR barcode which can be created with the New Bar Code Technology contains a lot of changes to the system, therefore an ABAP code correction is also required.
For this reason, check the following Notes:
- #2029824 - "Support for QR code and data matrix bar code (ABAP part)", which describes how the ABAP code corrections can be implemented
- #2029589 - "Support for QR code and data matrix bar code (kernel part)", which describes the previously mentioned kernel part.

Hello,
Forgot to say, the above two notes are talking about the method 3(New bar code technology) in note 1557674.
SAP Note #1557674 - "Overview of bar code printing from SAP system" describes the possibilities how barcodes can be printed from SAP systems.
The following possibilities are available for Smartform:
1.: Printing with a DIMM/SIMM module, which is built in the printer: in this case, a separate hardware module needs to be purchased for the printer, and this separate hardware will actually print the 2D barcode. The guide of the module should contain what is the activation sequence of the barcode, which is required in R/3.
2.: Printing with barcode.dll file: in this case a separate file needs to be purchased, which then can be used with the SAPWIN-Device Types.
3.: Barcode font: unfortunately this can not be used for 2D barcodes.
4.: New barcode technology. In this case SAP creates the image of the barcode, and this image will be simply passed to the printer. The QR-code can be implemented via the following Notes:
- #2029824 - "Support for QR code and data matrix bar code (ABAP part)"
- #2029589 - "Support for QR code and data matrix bar code (kernel part)"
See whether the system meets the requirements for the New bar code technology. If not: the other possibilities can be considered.

Hey Wen,
Thanks a lot for the Answer. I have forwarded the Kernel Part of the note to the basis team and they will look into it.
As soon as I get any update on the whether I was successful in implementing it, I will post the whole process here.
Your answer was quite helpful for going in the right direction.
Thanks,
Ankit

Hi,
With the Implementation of the above Notes (Both Kernal and ABAP), I was able to display DataMatrix and QR code Barcodes.
But my requirement is to display Aztech Barcode, Anyway we can do that?
Or some other NOTE for that/
Please guide.
Thanks,
Ankit
