Security error

Hi Guys,

I am getting the following error when I process security in OutlookSoft 4.2:

*CreateCubeRole:Error occurred during update of Cube 'Financials' on the server: 'Error occurred while processing security for cube 'Financials' (Security error '' )'

RemoveUnUsedOlapRole:Error occurred during update of Cube 'Financials' on the server: 'Error occurred while processing security for cube 'Financials' (Security error '' )'*

I did the following to fix this problem but with no use:

1) Optimized the application

2) Saved the application

3) Deleted all the records and then did the above two steps

and now I ran out of options and desperately need help from you guys. If anybody knows solution to this problem please let me know ASAP. I greatly appreciate your feedback!

Hi,

It is good to provide your SAP BPC version to be able to provide you the right answer.

The security is not the same in 4.X and 5.x

Any way it seems the user used for installation of SAP BPC is not anymore OLAP administrator.

But again is very important to know the version of SAP BPC.

Also did you check if you have the cube using Management Studio?

How was this error fixed?

We are getting the same error and not sure how to fix it. We have logged a ticket with SAP Support but if anyone here has the fix, please let me know.

Hello,

From your message I understand you are working in 4.2 version. In this case there is an OLAP role created for each user. Maybe there is something wrong with your security and OLAP roles.

Please open the Analysis Services and manually delete all the OLAP roles defined for your application. Then try to reprocess the security.

Problem solved.

First deleted all existing db roles from AS and ran security...no luck, same error

Then reprocessed all dimensions and ran security...no errors
