Hi all,
I am looking for detailed information regarding Process Control integrated with Legacy Systems which includes controls related to such systems. My questions are:
1) How such integration should be performed? Which type of connection should be used (File Local, File-FTP, Web Services etc)?
2) SAP GRC PC integrated with SAP System allows to define the rule set (rule criteria, deficiency tresholds etc) that are used by the Rule Engine. From the point of view of having SAP GRC PC integrated with a Legacy System:
a. Is it also possible to define a Rule Set?
b. In terms of reporting, what it will be displayed? A .pdf file?
Many thanks in advance. Regards,
Imanol
3) Where could I get some detailed information regarding this topic?

Many thanks for your reply Alexander.
I would also like to know if anyone out there has faced an implementation of SAP GRC Process Control where had to integrate such application with Legacy controls contained in Legacy systems.
Many thanks in advance. Regards,
Imanol

Hi,
While integrating the controls with the legacy system,3rd party tools etc you have to ensure that the intended controls dont conflict.Towards this end,you have to draw a control matrix for a given business process / sub process and look for inconsistancies if any. These inconsistancies have to be remedied, then only the interface/integration should be allowed to happen. As a rider, you have to check up the scalability and combatability aspects too.
The funda here is,it is the business process that drives the control requirements.
If your control tools -SAP,Legacy etc- are in sync with respect to this requirement,it is deemed you have integrated the tools with a high rate of success;otherwise it is the other way round.

Ramesh
