HANA Linux Installation

Hello Everyone ,

I am new to SAP technology as well as HANA . This is my first time installing SAP HANA STUDIO and CLIENT. I tried to follow the installation guide provided in the developer center but could not make it to work. Does anyone have a simple, easy and clear guide for SAP HANA Studio and Client Linux install ?

install the hdbstudio

im using the standard ibm java environment. set parameter -vm to your java environment

export TEMP=/tmp/hdbstudio.log

 mkdir -p $TEMP /usr/sap/hdbstudio_update 

<path to hdbstudio installation software>/hdbinst -a studio --copy_repository=/usr/sap/hdbstudio_update

<path to hdbstudio installation software>/hdbinst -a studio --batch --path=/usr/sap/hdbstudio -vm=/usr/lib64/jvm/java-1_6_0-ibm-1.6.0/jre/bin/java 

chown -R hanadm.sapsys /hana/shared/HAN/hdbstudio*

start hdbstudio

/usr/sap/hdbstudio/hdbstudio

add some additional packages.

      Help -> Install New Software Add -> Local... ->

                 /hana/shared/HAN/hdbstudio_update/repository -> OK -> OK

                         X Show only Software apolicable to target environment

                         X Hide items that are already installed

                 Select All -> Next -> Finish

Hi Sanchit,

As always, please refer installation guides before any installations. /instguides at SMP will be the best place.
