Hi Techies,

Is it possible to default base quantity as 10 in Operations? I have checked and found the profile in routing which has few default values like task list usage, Base quanity and so on.

But is it possible to make only the base quantity as 10 without the usage of profile?

Please guide me.

Thanking you in advance.

The profile is precisely meant to address your specific need. Any reason why you would not want to use it or want an alternative solution?

Hi Vivek,

Thanks. I was worried if the user might not be using the profiles every time they login. Hence wanted to check if we do have any other possible ways of defaulting the values for them.

But if this is the standard and best practice to do then we will stick on with this. Thanks for your thoughts.

Thanking you in advance.

Hi

I think you can use the standard variant which can be created by SHD0,

Steps.

1. Go to SHD0

2. Input the transaction code,e.g. CA01 or CA02

3. Click the tab 'Standard variant'

4. Input the name of variant. e.g. Z123....please start with Z.

5. Click 'Create ' button F5.

5. Then the system will bring you to the transaction of routing, please input the base quantity as 10.

6. In the coming popup, please tick the check box 'W.content' in the

line for the field of base quantity', if you hope protect this

field you can also tick the 'Output only'.

7. Exit the transaction and save the variant.

8. Activate the stanard variant in SHD0, please note that this will be

valid for all users.

You can also control other transactions this way in SHD0 by creating

variants for them.

9. Check the field in 'Global setting' you will see the field is ticked

automatically.

If you'd like to make this effect only for some users then you can create transaction variant instead of standard variant in SHD0 then assign the user to a group, this also can be done in SHD0.

Regards.

Leon.
