Material to material transfer (309) with different base units of measure

Dear experts,

Please help me solve in SAP the following situation:

Material A - base unit of measure PCS (alternative unit 1 PCS = 3 kg)

Material B - base unit of measure KG

I want to post a transfer from mat A to mat B but I receive an error because the two materials have different base units of measure (error M7105).

Is there any way I can create this posting?

hello

if UOM is different for materials you can't transfer the materila to mateiral with 309 mov type.

Dear Lonut,

You just cannot use 309.

But you can issue material A with 201 (or 551 or 701) and use reversal movement 202 (or 552 or 702) for material B .

Or use do it via production orders, you issue material A with 261 and receive against the order material B with 101.

Alternatively, you can think of using the physical stock adjustment with movement type 701/702.

hi,

In std SAP system, it is a prerequisite to have the same base unit of measure for the materials for which you make the material to material transfer postings...

so, its not possible with above given two diff. units...

The quickest way to solve is to set material A base unit as KG,and maintain alternative unit of measurement as 100KG=333PCS
