Hi
In Delivery you have Inbound(for PO) and outbound(for sales order) , Further you can process deliveries combined together into Shipment document.
Based on your business process it varies.
You can combine multiple delieveries based on certain common criteria into a shipment document, Further shipment document will be followed by a shipmet cost document and shipment cost settlement.
In shipment document you will be specifying forwarding agent, shipment type, pricing procedure for shipment cost calculation

Hi,
Delivery is the logistics document that normally follows an order, and represents the data of the actual materails, quantities, etc. that are delivered together in an instance against an order (in some cases a number of orders).
Shipment is another document that represents the transportation of one or more deliveries, for example a truck.
You assign deliveries to a shipment in the process of transportation planning.
Deliveries are a must, shipments are optional depending on whether you ship by yourself, or not.
Regards,
Mario
