Dear,

There is error which user may receive while posting a material document in SAP. Program gets terminated and user cannot process any document further. Details of error and how to fix it are given below: This error is related to SAP Batch Management.

Error occurring is u201CInconsistency in classification data => transaction terminatedu201D occurs when you try to post any material document in SAP for certain material, plant and particular batch.

This Error occurs when there is some inconsistency in that batch in various tables in SAP.

What is Batch?

The quantity or partial quantity of a certain material or product that has been produced according to the same recipe, and represents one homogenous, non- reproducible unit with unique specifications.

The batch object contains the following key fields

u2022 Material

u2022 Batch

u2022 Plant

Technical reason for error:

There is classification table in SAP INOB which has one table record for each batch created in SAP. For that batch to be consistent, key field of table INOB-CUOBJ should be same in batch master record table MCH1 in field MCH1-CUOBJ_BM

If for particular batch, there is inconsistency in these 2 fields of 2 tables, SAP wonu2019t allow posting any material document further.

How to Fix it-

SAP offers transaction BMCC (program RVBCUOBJ) as integrity check for batch classification.

There are 3 radio buttons. One for test run (this will not update anything), one is just to show consistent batches, one where you can hide CUOBJ_BM field for selected batches.

If you want to remove inconsistency for certain batch, deselect all radio buttons and execute.

Follow below steps-

1. BMCC or path is Choose Logistics ? Central Functions ? Batch Management ? Tools ? Integrity Check for Batch Classification.

2. Enter values for the selection criteria. Put Material XXXX, plant XXXX, batch XXXX

3. Choose . Remove the Test run checkbox.

4. The system displays the pushbutton. (up left corner)

5. Choose to carry out the repair.

4. This will make INOB- CUOBJ and MCH1- CUOBJ_BM fields consistent and allow you to post any material document for material, plant and batch.
