I'm trying to get started and learn Crystal Reports. I can't seem to locate the Xtreme.mdb sample database to use for practice. I've received conflicting information on this. Can someone tell me how to get the data from SAP to Crystal Reports 2008 to begin evaluating the software?

You can download xtreme sample database (.mdb) for xir2 here, you can also use this with CR 2008:
https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100005852352008E/cr_xi_xtreme_rep_smpl_en.zip
You will have to create your own DSN for it.
Crystal Reports 2008 now comes with xtreme db in XML format. You can download this here:

Janet,
The sample database should have installed automatically when you installed CR. I'm using CR XI R2 not 2008 so there may be a bit of variation.
Here is the file path on my computer:
C:\Program Files\Business Objects\common\3.5\Samples\En\Databases
If that doesn't help, go to C:\Program Files\Business Objects and do a search for .mdb
If that still doesn't get you to the files then they probably didn't get installed with CR 2008. If you have the install disc the database should be there.
If you need to download it from SAP... good luck...
Jason
