Some users, in Backoffice, have only one language available to edit for an attribute. In the system we have 4 languages: en, en_gb, en_ie and de. All of them are active, but only en is available. For admin every language is available.

In spring-mvc-config.xml there is a list of message-converters. On MappingJackson2HttpMessageConverter you can set a custom ObjectMapper and on that mapper you can set the date formatter.
