You may use the report CRM_ORDER_READ that lists all the objects under the order. It might be something you are looking for. Otherwise if you know how to set a break-point you would be able to debug the function. Let us know.
Do you have BPS in your landscape? In the past I had similar issues and found that some settings (I don't know which) were missing on the BPS side. The value of a certain 'Period Type' field was incorrect. Please have a look.RegardsPrasenjit
