Purchasing Info Record - Screen Layout

Hi,I set the plant as a required entry field in (Define) screen layout under "purchasing info. record". But when I create an info. record, SAP doesn't consider it as a mandatory field.Do I miss something in configuration? Please help.Thanks, Francis
