Hello guys, Hope you're all good and doing well 💪
I want to know what is the required functional modules knowledge that any ABAP developer should know about to be able to communicate with the functional consultant in smooth way, achieve more accepted results and of course to be able to think about solutions in more effective way.
Thanks.

Hi @Sadory
In general, there are four Modules that have repeated during my developer career: Material Management, Procurement, Sales and Distribution and Finance.
For MM: I suggest to have an overall understanding of Materials, Also understand the terms Plants and Storage Locations.
For Procurement: Have an overall understanding of Purchase Orders, Inbound Deliveries and Service Entry Sheets.
For SD: Have an overall understanding of Sales Orders, Outbound Deliveries and Invoices. Also understand the terms Sales Organization and Distribution Channel.
For FI: Have an overall understanding of Billing Documents, Payments and Validations/Substitutions. Also understand the terms Company Code, Account, Cost Center.
Of course, every module is made of tons of other terms, but in my case, understanding the terms I mentioned above helped me to better communicate with Functional Consultants.

Hi @Sadory
I recommend to check our learning journeys.
You can find Learning Journey on our SAP Learning platform. Theses guides are interactive, visual maps illustrating recommended paths to SAP software competency, or expansion of skill levels for all roles and SAP solutions. They comprise relevant training material and courses on key topics from multiple sources, including the digital offerings available in SAP Learning Hub and to SAP Learning System Access portal subscribers.
With a high-level view of your learning options based on your goals and current knowledge, you can follow the recommendations and track your progress toward your learning goals.
If you search for SAP ABAP, level =beginner,r ole= developer you get a helpful hitlist from where you can start to build your knowledge.
Kind regards
Margit
