Hello community!
In our development team (~40 people) one of the biggest challenges is a very uneven distribution of knowledge, ranging from a rather large number of inexperienced developers to topic experts/specialists and very few people with comprehensive and deep knowledge of the whole system. This has negative effects on quality and creates a communication and work overload for the more experienced colleagues.
We are thinking about introducing pair programming to improve the situation and I want to ask if there are development teams within SAP that are using this technique and could share their insights with us. Of course I'd also welcome any shared experiences that were made outside of SAP 🙂
I searched the community content and just found some references to ABAP code retreats where apparently pair programming was used, with mainly positive feedback. I'd be grateful for any further information anyone could provide.
